Sageview Capital LP Announces 2022 Year-End Promotions

Sageview Capital LP, a private investment firm focused on providing growth capital and operational support to leading tech-enabled businesses, is excited to announce the promotions of Caitlin Vorlicek to Principal, Mike Browne to Vice President, Will Kunin to Senior Associate, Vlad Galperin to Chief Financial Officer, and Ashwin Prakash to Controller.

Each of these individuals has contributed significantly to the success of the firm. They have demonstrated a track record of leadership, innovative thinking, and excellence. We look forward to the continued contributions each will have to the firm and our portfolio companies.

Promotion to Principal

Caitlin Vorlicek – Caitlin Vorlicek joined Sageview in 2021 and is responsible for deal execution and helping lead the firm in its sourcing and portfolio monitoring efforts. Caitlin has been a driving force in helping the firm enhance its sourcing model, bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking in tackling our go-to-market motion. Caitlin is actively involved in the firm’s investments in Carewell, Specright, Elemental Machines, and a recently closed new investment. Before joining Sageview, Caitlin led the Partnership and Corporate Development efforts at Sifted (fka VeriShip), a logistics software company in Kansas City, MO. Before joining Sifted, Caitlin spent three years at Summit Partners, sourcing and executing investments, including Klaviyo, A Cloud Guru, and Sifted. Caitlin began her career in technology investment banking at Harris Williams & Co. She graduated cum laude from Colby College, receiving a B.A. in Economics with distinction.

Promotion to Vice President

Mike Browne – Mike Browne joined Sageview in 2019 and is responsible for helping the firm in its sourcing, executing, and portfolio monitoring efforts. Additionally, Mike has been highly involved in expanding the firm’s Analyst and Associate program. Mike is actively involved in the firm’s investments in 360insights, Drivewyze, and Specright. Before joining Sageview, Mike worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofA) in New York. At BofA, Mike worked on various M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements in the technology, consumer, and healthcare sectors. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a B.S.E. in Computer Science.

Promotion to Senior Associate

Will Kunin – Will Kunin joined Sageview in 2020 and is responsible for helping the firm in its sourcing, executing, and portfolio monitoring efforts. Will is actively involved in the firm’s investments in National Arbitration and Mediation (“NAM”), Carewell, and XSELL Technologies. Before joining Sageview, Will was an Associate at Goldman Sachs in New York. At Goldman Sachs, Will worked on various M&A transactions and debt financings for not-for-profit hospitals and health insurance companies. He received a B.A. in Economics from Colby College.

Promotion to Chief Financial Officer

Vlad Galperin – Vlad Galperin joined Sageview in 2019 as Controller and is responsible for the firm’s limited partner financial reporting, accounting, and tax functions. In addition, Vlad assists with the firm’s overall operations and compliance functions. Before joining Sageview, Vlad was the CFO of Brenner West Capital Partners, a long/short equity hedge fund based in New York City. Before joining Brenner West, he was a Senior Audit Associate at KPMG LLP in the New York Financial Services practice. Vlad graduated from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.

Promotion to Controller

Ashwin Prakash – Ashwin Prakash joined Sageview in 2018 as a Senior Accountant and was promoted to Assistant Controller in 2020. Ashwin is responsible for managing the firm’s financial operations, including its accounting and tax functions, and for limited partner fund reporting. In addition, Ashwin assists with the firm’s compliance functions and with service provider oversight. Before joining Sageview, Ashwin worked as a Senior Audit Associate at RSM US LLP in their financial services group. At RSM, he audited and reviewed financial statements for middle-market private equity firms with Fund assets under management ranging from $250 million to $750 million. Ashwin graduated from the University of Connecticut, receiving a B.S. in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Connecticut.
